Tanzania is a country in East Africa, which is part of the Commonwealth of Nations. The national flag of Tanzania was adopted in 1964 and is a canvas with a diagonal stripe and triangles. The black color of the stripe symbolizes the indigenous African population, the green color of the triangle represents the vegetation of Tanzania, the yellow color of the stripes symbolizes the minerals, and the blue color of the triangle represents the Indian Ocean, lakes and rivers of the country.
