Aaron Burr is one of the many fantastic characters in The Simpsons animated series. Historically, he was the 3rd Vice President of the United States, serving under Thomas Jefferson during his first term. The legendary depiction where Simpsons' Burr holds a gun is a reference to when Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in a pistol duel in real life.
