He was the Padawan apprentice of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Portrayed by Ewan McGregor, Obi-Wan Kenobi is shown as a legendary Force-sensitive human male Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the final years of the Republic Era. He was a skilled lightsaber duelist and one of the greatest swordsmen of his time.
